- Can I order a sample of a promotional item?
Yes. We can send you sample items within 1 to 3 days. Please note that we will have to charge you for the sample item and the shipping and handling and that these charges are non-refundable. We will calculate the shipping and handling fees on the basis of the time and effort involved. You will not incur other costs, such as a sample costing supplement. Please send us your delivery and invoice address(es); and we will send you your sample immediately.
- Can SOURCE help me to prepare the graphics for the advertising I wish to apply?
Yes, we would be pleased to help you prepare the graphics for the advertising you wish to apply! Virtual Sampling ''Virtual Sampling‘ allows us to digitally visualise your individual wishes and ideas with regards to the advertising you wish to apply. Your logo or script can be virtually placed on any promotional item you wish - from simple promotional gifts or your corporate fashion goods to complex custom-made products. In this way, you can get a realistic impression of how your promotional item will look once it is produced in advance of actually placing your order. Preparation of the artwork If you wish, we can rework your artwork and prepare it so that flawless printability and an optimal result is assured for the advertising you wish to apply.
- Can you also supply personalised custom-made products in accordance with our wishes and CI?
If you cannot find the promotional item you want in our range, we can provide you with a quote for a custom-made product created freely in accordance with your wishes. There are no limits to your imagination with regard to this. However, please note that it can take 12 to 14 weeks to deliver personalised custom-made products and it is only possible to make them if the unit numbers are high. Please contact us. - Can you also supply the promotional items as personalised goods with my logo?
In principle, a logo can be applied to any of the items. There are various possibilities for each item. The perfect advertising to apply is your business card. - Do I receive a sample of the produced item before the order placement?
If desired, a product sample is available at a cost. In order to create a sample, our machines need to be set up accordingly, which accounts for a majority of overall costs and time. The generated films however, if no changes are to be made, may be used for the further production of your promotional product.
With difficult material, we recommend you to have already prepared a product sample. You will always receive a sketch, which is representative of status and size, but not for colour of your logo.

- How high are the shipping and handling costs?
The costs for the packaging and despatch are calculated per order on the basis of the actual time and effort involved. Of course, we will calculate these costs in advance and inform you of them immediately so that you are always up-to-date on the full costs associated with your order. We usually use a parcel service for sending our goods, e.g. Deutsche Post, DPD, GLS or UPS. However, this does not apply to breakable or bulky goods such as porcelain, luggage, picnic baskets, etc. which are delivered by a freight company and invoiced separately on the basis of the actual time and effort involved. It is also possible to send goods abroad. These are also calculated on the basis of the time and effort involved and any customs charges which may apply.

- Is there a minimum order quantity?
Yes. Our shop only caters for industry, retail, craft and trade customers. The minimum order value is £ 600 per item. Prices are quoted without customised advertising. The overall price is exclusive of VAT and freight charges.
- No child labour!
Every sixth child worldwide between the ages of five and 17 years is being exploited through various forms of child labour according to 2002 estimates from the International Labour Organisation (ILO);. The problem is particularly acute in Asia and the Pacific region. SOURCE is a globally operating retail company with contacts to production facilities all over the world. The majority of our suppliers are based in the Far East. Production without child labour is of the greatest importance to us in our cooperation. Our management system is based on the SA8000 social standard which is based on the principles and conventions of the International Labour Organisation and is structured according to the well-known ISO standards. The SA8000 standard defines verifiable criteria with regards to child labour, forced labour, occupational safety and health, remuneration, working hours directives, discrimination, the right to collective bargaining, disciplinary practices and management skills. On this basis, we guarantee appropriate and socially-compatible working conditions, not only in our own company but also in the factories of our suppliers located all over the world.
- Social responsibility
Social responsibility begins in the company itself and covers all points of contact between the enterprise and society. Therefore, SOURCE believes that both ensuring a pleasant and inspiring work environment for its own employees and dedication to improving the living and working conditions in the countries where its goods are being produced are all part of executing this responsibility. As a retail company with links to numerous international production facilities, SOURCE considers itself obliged to accept responsibility along the entire value added chain and, by so doing, to primarily address the social environment of its international business partners. Particular emphasis is placed on the fight against child labour and on supporting fair trade.
- Support for fair trade
Support for fair trade SOURCE has been including numerous excellent items with the Fair Trade seal in its range since May 2007. The Fair Trade seal is placed on products which are traded according to controlled fair conditions. Fair trade helps producers in developing countries to achieve a humane existence through their own efforts. The living conditions of people in the southern countries should be improved by fairer trading conditions, the strengthening of their domestic economies and the dismantling of long-term inequitable global economic structures. Fixed minimum prices and clearly defined surcharges ensure that people earn at least the minimum they need to survive.
- What are the lead times?
The lead time for goods in stock without any advertising to be applied is approx. 2 to 4 working days within Germany if ordered before 1 pm. For orders where advertising will be applied to the goods, the lead time is approx. 2 to 3 weeks following clarification of the order details and production release. However, please note that it can take 12 to 14 weeks to import any promotional items coming from Asia. This is usually the case for particularly large quantities or personalised custom-made goods. On request and subject to an additional charge, we can have certain items made using a quick service. Please just contact us about this!
- What are the payment options available to me?

- What should I be aware of when providing my artwork for the advertising that will be applied?
Please provide the artwork for the advertising in digital form. Some technical requirements should be noted in regard to this: Software Along with Adobe Illustrator 11.0, the CorelDraw 11.0 and FreeHand 10.0 applications can also be used to produce a file of your artwork. Previous versions of these applications can also be used. However, data from text processing and presentation applications, such as Word and PowerPoint, are not suitable for the preliminary artwork. Fonts The fonts used in the artwork should be converted into curves and paths, i.e. vector graphics. Images and logos Images or logos embedded in a file should always be attached separately as a master file, with the logos being made available as vectorised EPS files. The resolution of the images in the size to be printed should be at least 300 dpi and that of the logos at least 600 dpi.
- Will my data remain confidential?
Yes. We will use our inventory data on you to process your order only. All customer information is stored and used by us in accordance with the relevant provisions of the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetze - BDSG); and the Tele Services Data Protection Act (Teledienstdatenschutzgesetz - TDDSG);. Your data is encrypted and sent via the Internet. We have technical and organisational security measures in place to protect the data of yours managed by us from accidental or wilful manipulation, loss, destruction and unauthorised access. We will not pass on your personal data to a third party without your express permission and this may be revoked at any time. Exempted from this are our service partners who require your data in order to successfully handle your order (e.g. the freight company we commission to deliver the goods);. In such cases, we shall only transfer the absolute minimum amount of data required. If you are not paying in advance, your name and address may be passed on to SCHUFA Holding AG, Wiesbaden, for the purpose of carrying out a credit check and thereby protecting our beneficial interests. Of course, your protectable interests will also be taken into account here as per the statutory provisions. You are entitled to receive information on your stored data at any time, free of charge, and to have it rectified, blocked or deleted.
